Paper Shelter dt

Our new challenge brought to you by the Paper Shelter is up and running and this week the challenge is "All wrapped up"

What better way to be wrapped in a mothers love than to still be in the womb?  for this card i have used Light of my life available in the online store.

I colored her with copics, used one of my new crealies dies, layered to best feature my image, and of course, loads of flowers, a birdcage from memory box, and do you see that paper clip?  i just had to try and reinvent the humble paper clip.  i added a few beads to it and i love that it now has some pizzaz!

the rest of the girls have created some amazing inspiration so do pop past and give them some love and join in our challenge this week

paper shelter geust post

i am so pleased to be sharing a new card with you, expecially since my blog has become rather neglected whilst i have had the kids home for the summer.  Today i am geust designer for the Paper shelter and their challenge this week is "winter blues"

I soptted this stunning little image and just had to use it right away, she is called "Snow Angel"  and is available in the shop HERE

 i colored her with my trusted copics, i gotta tell you since i hadnt colored in over a month this in itself was a challenge.  i added lots of flowers and then finished off with a large bow and two corners that are available from WOC, however i do stock them for the local girls.

Mo's dp 2 challenge blog dt

Our newest challenge for Mo's is up and this week its your favourite color combo

Now i cant really say that pink and white are my favourite combo, i do love pink and for now they are my favourite.

this darling image is so versatile and i know the dt have used her quite a bit lately, personally it speaks to me too.  The image can be found HERE in Mo's store, called jo painting

I gotta say that these images really dont need half of the drek embellishments that i layer on my cards, but i love working with them and i have a weakness for all the flowers and things.

vintage trailer

i have had so much fun in the last couple of weeks, making these vinatge trailers.  I have been inspired by the original that came from Fabienne HERE
There was another one that was also made and posted on pinterest, and here is her blog link too:  Tara also has a cutting file that you can use if you have an electronic machine, which i dont have.  For me it was a wing and a prayer, so each of the three trailers that i made are different in size and decor.

Unfortunately in order for you to see the full thing i have to show you all these pics.  I just loved over embellishing these and had ssssooooo much fun...

 unfortunately my photos mixed themselves up when i loaded this and this was actually my second attempt, which i decided to add Magnolia images to

 that key lock on the door was a Mellissa Francis embellishment that i found in my stash, sure it was given to me by a friend.

 the door knob is a bead pin with a cap behind it, stuck to the door with hot glue

 the lantern was made using a Marianne die that i cut four times and then added the pearls, the candle inside was made using rolled up paper and a bit of string for a wick and then some puff paint to make it look as if it had melted a bit

 the cornice and bird cage were also dies from Marianne that i just made 3d, the twig that the bird is perched on is a Memory box

 All the little windows got ribbon for curtains

 of course the fence around the front is a Magnolia doohickey

 this was the first attempt and i wanted to add the hinges and door handle from my stash to give it an old world feel

 the back of this one i made so it could open and one could put a gift inside

 this was the third attempt and is going to a very special friend of mine, gotta figure out what i am gonna fill it with

 made the welcome mat with some old jute that i had laying around the craft room

 and with #2 and #3 i opened the bottom so i could fill them with goodies

  added the turnmount and ribbon tab for ease of opening and closing.

Mo's dp 2 challenge dt

Seems i am heading back into my old ways of being late, i think not! just having a hectic day.
for this week on Mo's challenge blog its "Anything but square"

So i decided to do a reflection card which i havent done for a while, but think this image is perfect for it.

now before anyone goes ahead and thinks i am so clever, i gotta tell you i am way techno challenged.  This technique actually has nothing to it, and the good thing is that the image is digi so you can flip it once you have opened it into you editing software on your puter.

i decided to make the swing panel so one could write on the inside without having to ruin the whole card.  Image was colored with my copics and embellished to within an inch of no longer recognising this as a card, lol.

Mo's challenge blog dt

Time for out weekly challenge on Mo's digital pencil and this week its time for " Lets chill"  I'm sure those of you on the opposite side of the globe to me are chilling right now, as we are sweltering in the heat where i am.  Oh yes, i have the aircon cranked up and never wanna leave my craft room, its so hot!!
I have another Christmas card to share this week:  Lots of layering and some heat embossed white embossing powder that has been laying in a box for ever, i remembered it and used it, but i think the gesso does a far better job, so will have to rethink this idea.

I gotta say at this point, the red on my card was all wrong for the paper, just couldnt seem to get the right shade of red, but other than the little red issue i am quite pleased.  Of course the image is available from Mo's online store and i look forward to seeing all the fabulous takes on Mo's great images.
