Scarecrow Maggie and a rant!

I have a card to share and along the way i am gonna get on my soapbox and have a little rant, so if you just wanna look at my creation, thats fine too.
We as bloggers/ crafters/ card makers mostly blog and craft to share and inspire one another, i also skype with quite a few of my crafty friends and often share whatever card i am working on while skypeing with my friends, however i never expect them to reuse my ideas before i get a chance to share my creation on my blog.  Well i think we can deduce from this who our friends are.  I know when i create something and someone uses my creation for inspiration i am positively THRILLED that i may inspire someone.  However i see it as a slap in the face when my sharing gets abused!  Ok now i can get off my soap box and share my card
I recieved a parcel from the OH SO GENEROUS Diana from Magnolia-licious and just had to dig right in and start a card with my newest little Maggies.  I used #298 Scarecrow Tilda and #253 Garden Tilda, colored with copics, i masked my image and used a Hero arts background stamp for the corn field look, and then sponged and airbrushed a sunset background.
All my edges were distressed with a distressing tool and given a lavish going over with vintage photo, i stitched around the edges so that i could enter the challenge on MDUC where they want: stitching and swirls, we all know how i feel about my pearly swirls, he he.
Then i wanted to use the same card for TOMIC: shimmer and pearls, also right in there with what i love and my little bees and Tilda's lace got the stickle treatment.  This card fits the bill for the challenge on Stampalot it will be entered there too.
The fence is a little wooden one that i have had in my stash for quite some time now, and the tag sentiment is a computer generated one, the hessian is from the stash and the little watering can i thought was perfect for this.  The little corn shoots on the iside of my card and laying next to our little gardener are made by yours truly using florist wire and a little daisy punch.

P.S: i was chatting to a friend about this and she said its like a "friend" dating an ex-boyfriend and only finding out via the grapevine i thought it was a great analogy

    I feel your pain, been ripped off with my textile pieces more times than i care to mention & have also hauled a few folks through court for abusing my copywrite designs.

    I keep everything to myself these days until im ready for the world to see it.

    A fabulous Tilda card Paola - the rustic colours and embellishments fit the outdoor theme perfectly. Love the fence and all the extra detail - it really is beautiful.

    Your rant was understandable. People who betray your trust like that should be named and shamed - they might think twice next time!

    Wowzwers! This is absolutely fabulous, Paola! What a fantastic vintage style card! All the details are great! It's actually the first time that Scarecrow Tilda appeals to me. You surely make her likable. No idea why she seemed a witch Tilda to me and didn't order...hehe.

    Hey Sweetie, Your card is stunning! I love your wooden fence! That's why we have so much "stuff!" We're going to need it some day. LOL I love, love, love your card. You are so talented and I cannot imagine someone even coming close to what you always achieve. I know that when I first started card making, and tried to copy someone's design, theirs always looked so much better and different, so I just gave up and began doing my own stuff. I don't have the magic they had when they developed their card and it showed. Your work is always wonderful! You have the gift!

    OMG!!! Paola this is so beautiful. I was like Iulia and thought this Tilda would be one I wouldn't get but after seeing your gorgeous creation I have changed my mind.
    Starting with the color and the DP's they are fabulous. The little fence with the watering can charm so cute. Tilda digging the garden and then the scarecrow Tilda to frighten the birds away. She is too cute to frighten the birds though. I love the piece of sacking! Your coloring is lovely. I haven't seen another like it and am sorry that someone stole your idea and that it was a friend. I hope the friendship can be mended.

    Hi Paola.....your card is stunning and I love the little scene you have created with the maggies! Sorry to hear about your crafty troubles, this has happened to me before and it really does make you angry, you needs enermies when we have so called friends like that, eh? Hope it sorts itself out and well done you for speaking out about it :o)

    You asked me a question about the little crochet shoes on my blog. The sole is crocheted too, so they are not suitable for outdoor where. Most of the shoes I make are for pre-toddlers so there is no worries about the soles wearing out. However, if I did make them for a toddlers {the patterns do go to that age too}, then wearing them in the house as slippers would be fine, its only like wearing socks in the house. Hope that answers your question, hun, and thanks so much for your kind words about them!

    I'm so sorry that a "friend" has stolen from you. That's just awful! And just plain wrong. I'm glad you saw this person for what & who they truly are & know that you can no longer trust them. Fortunately most crafters are not like this person. They are usually the nicest people you would ever meet.
