A couple of Christmas cards

So yesterday i was gabbing on about being so busy and that yes i had started making an effort to make a few Xmas cards for friends of mine who are gonna be celebrating Christmas at the end of the year.
Just so you know that i wsnt totally laying around idle here they are.
the first one i made i just felt i had to use these two newish cuties from the most recent kit, which came with the sentiment too
And i just love the white on white feel, however i wanted my images to pop!
i thought i might enter this card in the challenge on at Tilda town
For this card i having been leaning toward the kraft paper now for a while and i just love the way some of the crafters make the shabby chic cards look so easy even when i find it so challenging.  They have a challenge on WOC for "Bling" and there is a lot of bling here on the tree and flourishes aswell as lots of stickles all over the tree and images.
the Tree i made using a Marianne die, which i just cut four times and glued together so i would have a 3d tree to decorate.  This card was made for a specific friend who told me in no uncertain terms, she didnt want a snowy card for Xmas since its hot as Hades in SA at this time of year
the little lights on the tree were sent to me by my BFF sometime ago when i expressed an interest in them and couldnt find any in SA.  I have been so frugal with them in the hope that i dont run out of the little lights i think they great for this kinda card.  I used glittering Tilda and another of the images from the new stamp kit that i dont have a name for right now.
hope you enjoyed seeing what i have been up to

I am still around

I know that my blog is sorely neglected and it seems that i am only really posting what i need to for my dt's, however for those of you still hanging in there and keeping an eye out for when i do post, i wanted to let you know that there is a lot going on behind the scenes.

I have decided to redecorate the girls bedroom, so have knocked up these two headboards, lots more to come besides.
I have been trying to get my A into gear and do a few Xmas cards for those of my friends who will be celebrating the holidays at the end of the year.
Of course i still have the three little ones that have swimming and extra murals and homework, and not to meantion that we all go ice skating on a Wednesday evening and now on Sundays too since our academy exams are coming up soon so we gotta practice,
So here is a card that i can show you for now:
I was planning on entering a challenge with it last week, but time just seems to get away from me these days.
You know how life gets in the way of all our good intentions...
if you pop in for a visit and are gonna leave a comment and can think of a challenge for me to enter with this card i would love for you to give me the heads up
have a great week

Mo's challenge blog dt

Its that time of the week again folks, a new challenge is running on Mo's challenge blog, this week its "Cute and cuddly"
For my card this week i am using "Talk to the bear" available from Mo's store HERE
I used my custumory copics to color this adorably cute image.  I decided to make an easel card for this challenge i am getting kinda bored with making regular sqaure cards.

Of course i over embellished the card as per my normal OTT style.  Also stitched around the edges for the extra bit of class, the paper i'm afraid is really old and i dont have a name for you.
The green frame around my image i used one fo the new joy corner dies and just joined the edges all the way around the make the frame.
have a great weekend crafting, i look forward to seeing what you make this week for our challenge

Mo's challenge blog dt

We have our latest challenge for Mo's Fabulous digital pencil 2 up and running and this week its Autumn Fun.  So glad nobody chose Halloween for this challenge as i never know what to do for halloween as its not really a holiday that i am familiar with.
For my shaker card i decided to use Kai available HERE from Mo's store.  I wanted my leave to shake and fall so that was the decision for the shaker card this week
Just a closer picture so you can see that the leave inside the shaker have been shook and moved a bit.
the leaves on the top of my card were made using a Nellie Snellen punch and emboss i just love those punches, so easy to work with, and the pearls of course from the stash.
Hope you come to play at Mo's this week, an awesome challenge

Mo's dp 2 challenge- "B" is for

Our latest challenge on Mo's challenge blog is up and this week its "B" is for, mine is for Ballerina
i just had to use this Marianne die, since its fairly new to my stash, highlighted the embossed areas with Picket fence distress marker.  My image of course is available from Mo's store HERE, such a cutie this one! colored with copics
the charm was quite pricey, but i just had to have it for cards like this, depicting a ballerina.
A little pearly flourish up the sides of my card, this dp is from Sandy Lion, it says opening night all over it and has ballet shoes and a beautiful ballet tutu, love this dp, gonna run short soon too so gotta look out for a replacement
And the have to do, little bunch of flowers
i hope you gonna join our challenge this week

Do you enter challenges?

Since this is MY blog, i am gonna have my say.
You may notice that i dont enter many challenges with my cards, perhaps one or two here and there.
Reason:  i used to try and enter as many challenges in the hope of winning something, and yes a few times i have won.  Sad to say, i have NEVER recieved these prizes, so keep this in mind when you enter your challenges in the future.
It has just recently started to Piss me off!!!!
One thing you can be sure of though with Mo you always get your prize as its instant, You rock Mo.

HELLOOOOOO!!!! dont suppose you noticed that i have been away from dt commitments for a looong time.  Well i am BACK!!! and rearing to go.  WE have a new challenge up on Mo's challenge blog i know my post is very late, as usual i have a myriad of excuses none of which i intend to use, lol.

So our newest challenge is "Anything goes"  i made fifteen of these mini cards for a swap that i have been involved with and thought i could use them for my inspiration for this challenge.

the little tag that i slipped in behind my image was computer generated

I wanted to use all of the fairies that i could find at Mo's store, i havent used them all of course but the ones i did use are available.

the paper i just love too it is from: Bo Bunny, just gotta love the color combo.
All images colored with copics, embellishments etc from the never ending stash.
Do join in our challenge this week i look forward to seeing what y"all make especially now that i am back, from the dead
