Chag Purim Sameach

This post is a little off topic of cards but i am sure you will all understand why.  Today is a Jewish holiday that the children all get into their fancy dress and i just watned to share the fab pics of my kids in their fancy dress.  We had a red indian, star queen and snow white.

Just Magnolia

I made this card for the challenge on Just Magnolia where they want birthday projects.

Now i know that this is Christmas morning Tilda, but since she isnt holding holly i reckon i could use this any time of year and she is such a darling.  I colored her with my favorite medium, copics and gave her head band and the candle light some glittah!  The DP is an old Rita Marie paper, the lace down the side of my card is another of my ek success border punches and the sentiment is a hero arts.  Now i know that the pearls at the bottom of my card are a bit of overkill, but when i cut my colored image with my nestie i missed the edge and it wasnt scalloped so i had to do something to cover my boo boo, or at least try to distract from the fact that its a mistake.  I was not gonna recolor my image so if i can live with it so can you,he he.  flowers are from my shop and so are the srprays of wirey thingys and it just so happened that they were the perfect color for this DP.

Now dont forget to leave me a comment what would i do if i knew no one was visitng? still make cards but it would be very quiet, i love reading all the comments and have made so many friends from the people that leave me comments.

Sketch Saturday

They have a great sketch this week at http://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/ and i have been a little bored with the notmal square and rectangle cards so i decided to use this one, i am not sure what its called, its one of those cards with a base that it stands on its own.  Well i used my Charlotte with a large letter, colored with my copics, lots of pearls and cherry blossoms with beads caps flattened with my craft hammer and these fabby brown roses for the centres.
Hope you will leave a comment...................

Totally gorjuss- mother

Hi there blog hoppers, this week on totally gorjuss we are looking for creations for mothers, i believe in the UK they will be celebrating that day for the ladies that make all the sacrifices for their families soon, so you gonna make a card for the one and only and inter our challenge?  ther are some really great sponsors and the number of entries goes up each week.

I made this box to house a mini album for my mum, and since out here in South Africa we only celebrate mothers day in May i still have time to make the mini album, when i do i will share with you.  I have chosen the papers to go with this box/card.    My dp is local to us here and is made by enmark, oh i love whiff of joy stamps, cant get enough of them, but if you live in South Africa, the good new is that i supply them so contact me via email on my profile.  I colored my image with copics and added some glaze to the grapes, and boy it took forever to get the color to match my dp.  The flowers are layered and i added some, now what do i call them, wires, breath, dont know what they are but they work, the things i am talking about are the little wirey thingys that are bunched up with my flowers.  The box is almost like a manilla folder it concertinas out to make enough space to add my mini album.  Lots of pearls and a simple sentiment of mother.  Pop over to our challenge blog to see what the other girls have to inspire you: here

create 4 fun challenge

They have a fab sketch over on create for fun this week, and we all know by now that it takes the geuss work out of the equation which is just what the doc ordered for me, less stress.  I am loving these new images, they are so sassy, colored with my copics, cut on nestie and matted with a nestie, added some glittah to her wings.  I have used another of my ek success border punches, shew i am crazy for these borders by ek, they are so sturdy and strong, no feeling like they are gonna pack it in when you use them.  I layered some tiny prima flowers together with some bling, made a flourish on the top left of my card with more rhinestones and punched a few butterlies to finish the card off.  Thanks for stopping by..............

Sketch Saturday

I have been in a bit of bad head space lately, but at least while crafting one doesnt really need to think about the day to day stress of living or getting through the days, time goes too fast when we crafting and before you know it you gotta come back to reality.  So while i was in absentia one morning i out this together for the sketch Saturday .  I havent used buttons ofr a while and decided that it was high time i started to work my way through some of the mountains of stash that i have acquired.  The dp is an old one by Rita Marie, flowers also had for an eternity and a few of my favorites, flat backed pearls which i also supply.

Friday sketches #90

I am so excited i am finally using all my stamps that have been looking a little forlorn in my stash, so i decided to enter the Friday sketches challenge which i havent done for a while now, pop over and join in the fun, follow the link for the sketch
Now the card i made i colored my whiff of joy image with my usual copics and i used Dianne's daughters dp which i am loving lately cos i just seem to be stuck on the pinks, greens and browns.  Since Charlotte is standing at the letter box i thought i would use an envelope for one of my layers and a stamp for my sentiment.  I distressed all the edges with chestnut roan from colorbox, and my usual flowers and ephemera from my stash.  These are also new roses from prima that i just acquired recently and am just loving them.

Just Magnolia challenge week 43

On http://justmagnolia.blogspot.com/ they have a sketch this week, which is so fun to work with as it takes out all the geuss work, every now and then its nice to have a sketch to flollow.
I decided to use this strawberry Tilda which i have had for ages and just been neglecting, also another challenge for me this week is purple, cant figure why but i have a real problem working with purple.  Well i hope you will enjoy what i came up with.  I colored her with my copics, the papers are so old i dont even remember where i got them from, but they have been in the shop forever i decided to use them.  have also used two of my ek success border punches one is a scalolop with an emboss and the other just the scallop.  These roses are new in the shop so i had to use them, one of the reasons why i felt i had to use purple, so i could use the new roses, oops nearly forgot about my beautiful Mc gill punch for the fern.  Just to tell you something else while i am letting you know about my Mc gill punch, are you aware that Mcgill have a lifetime gaurentee on their punches, one of the suppliers told me a while ago and i just thought i would share that gem with you, so if your punch packs in dont throw it away send it back.  Sorry about the poor quaulity of my photos this evening, will try retake them in the morning.

Venting!!!!!!!!!!!

Now before you decide that i am venting because of sour grapes let me assure you sour grapesis not the case.  Since this is MY blog and i can post whatever i like on it i am.   I wanna know what y"all really think of Mister linky drawing on the challenges and what your consensus is on prizes you get for the challenges you enter.  I won a prize nearly two months ago and have yet to see ANYTHING!
I love entering the challenges and do it for the fun and inspiration, but when i see some of the cards that win, i become very dispondent, i geuss i just need someone to make me feel like its all worthwhile.
While i am on a roll, how you feeling about blog hopping for candy?  Must say i like entering candy but if i got to go from blog, to blog and lose my way and go back again and some of the blog hoppers along the way are not up to speed with their post for the hop you gotta go back later, i just would rather not have the candy, cos by the time i am done i got a head ache and really would rather be doing some crafting instead of feeding another potential migraine.
