 http://www.fantasticribbons.co.uk/acatalog/index.html

Bearly Mine Designs is offering a Digi Set of the Winner's choice

Wild Orchid Crafts is offering a package of pearls and flowers

and finally Kenny K is offering 3 Digi's of the Winner's Choice and 5 Decoupage Sheets

If you have arrived from Donna's blog
you are in the right place, if not you need to go back to the beginning of the hop at Kenny K Krafty Girlz Challenge Blog and start from there.

Each of the dt were assigned images from the new rock squad to make their cards, shew did i scratch my head when i got TWO drummers.  Tommy Lee and buggin drummer.  After a few days i thought, in SA when one is having a party and they wanna invite you they say " I'm having a bash at my place wanna come?" well these two certaibnly look like they are bashing it out on their drums, so the sentiment is apt.  Breaking out of the card, well bash too hard and thats sure to happen.  The twine and the buttons are the standard embleishment for masculine cards.

The next stop on the hop is Cheryl
To be eligible to win the GRAND PRIZE you must leave a comment on each blog and then leave your name on the Inlinkz at the last blog in the hop.  The challenge closes on Saturday evening and the winner will be drawn by Random.org.

There will also be prizes along the way, But you will have to hop to each design team members blog to find out who has them.  Most of all "Enjoy the Bash!!!"

Cherry on top award

Thanks so much to Pam for sending me this award.  Makes the blogging worhtwhile, knowing that someone out there enjoys seeing what i do with my few spare moments.

Totally gorjuss dt

Our challenge this week on Totally gorjuss is Christmas in August, getting a head start on the Christmas rush, sponsored by Cupids clear stamps, i wish i wasnt on the dt for this one as then i may have the chance to win these for myself, been to check them out and there are some really nice stamps there that i could give a very good home to.

For my Christmas card, i am using " Long haired Angel with puppy available HERE. I have colored my image using my normal format of copics, i used one of the EK success border punches for one of my layers, added loads of roses and buds, a couple of bead pins that i made and i also made a flourish out of the flat backed pearls, and a large lush ribbon and bow.  I gave the little Angel a good going over with loads of stickles to her wings and also added the stickles to the roses.  The rest of the dt did a fabulous job on their cards this week, please pop over and check them out for a bit of inspiration, seems everybody loves doing Christmas cards.

Have a great weekend crafting

A moment in time

I havent scrapped for ages and thought it would be a great idea to just do something that i havent done in a while and just unwind, without any pressure to deliver, the challenge that i am entering is for anything goes challenge  I have had these photos of myself for ages, my son took them one afternoon after i had come home from the shop.  How mnay of us scrappers actually ever scrap ourselves?  not many i'm sure, i know that i am forever scrapping my kids when i feel the need to scrap, but i know that my kids will appreciate a bit of an insight to their mother one day, in the distant future.
I started with two cream cardstock and stamped them with stazon, and then inked over the stazon as this creates a resist, then i gave my two base pages a good ol spritz of glimmer mist, not sure the pictures capture it.  I stamped a few more clocks in chestnut roan colorbox, then layered a lot of flowers and gave them centres of clock works and cobs, and added a few hat pins.

i added phots anchors to my large focal photo and carried that through to my second page by adding the photo anchors to the torn centre dp.  I raised a few of my photos for a bit of dimension aswell and gave everything a good going over with distress ink to age it somewhat, like the subject in the photos, he he.

My title i cut out of fun foam with my cuttlebug

Mo's dp2 challenge dt

Today's challenge over at Mo's dp2 is hosted by our terrific DT Leader
Peggy.. She challenged us to create a card with a Fall/Halloween theme.  Lo and behold i found this paper that i have had forever by Sandy Lion, and do i have tons of it, i must have got it on special, dont know what possesed me.  I'm using pirate Kai available from Mo's store, i totally loved coloring him and i know that the colors are very bright, but i am pleased with the way it turned out.

I just had to have a few stickles over the pumpkin, then i cut another pumpkin to use on the front of my card, and added rhinestones swirls and a few feathers in the top left corner.  The punch i used is a MS iron fence corner punch, i unfortunately couldnt get the border one when i ordered this as they were out of stock, so i made a plan and just adjusted it to make it work.
Dont ask whats happened to my post Mr blogger is also giving me hard time today, but at least the post is up.

Country crafts

My friend Joan who owns "country crafts" and is the NEW sole distributor of Nellie Snellen, Joy crafts and Marianne designs in South Africa asked me to make her a card using a few of the newly delivered dies, she also kindly donated this beautiful stamp to my stash.  I wasnt gonna post it on my blog until i had given it to her, but after chatting with her on the phone today she decided that she couldnt possibly wait till next week when i will be seeing her again.

Ny image was colored with copics, i popped her wings and added lots of diamond dust stickles, matted her on a nestie and then used this Marianne desing die behind my matted image.  I had to use the flowers that are also a new die to the range of all the imports, so i layered them up after curling the edges and then added a pearlised flower to the centre and a little flat back pearl.  I also added the flourish made from flat backed pearls in a beautiful soft pink.  The whole design is another one of those round flip cards that slides to reveal the inside where one would normally write a sentiment.

I am not entering this into any challenge as i didnt find one that fits the bill, i am just sharing.

ASFOS dt

Our challenge has come around again on A spoonfull of sugar, and wouldnt you know i am late again, so whats new?  I am having a really rough week, my dh is away on business and i had to go and collect my new car yesterday which was supposed to be surprise, well what a surprise, it feels like the car is as old as my mother who is almost 80, then lo and behold my maid came in this morning with issues of intimidation from the neighbours in the servants quarters.  I think i may just jump in this "new" car and drive off into the sunset.

Luckily i did my card while i was in a better mood.  I used "Gracie's roses" from Whimsy stamps who are also our sponsors this week.  I think she is so pretty and made me think she also looks a little old fashioned, or dressed up in a real party dress.  This week you have two choice:

Shaker-Card or a recipe: 3 flowers, 2 buttons, 1 ribbon OR if your feeling brave why not combine the 2.
The pretty buttons that i used i got in the mail from a very kind friend of mine Jean, the dp is a new release by a local company in SA called fab scraps, i gave the bottom of Lacies dress a good going over with stickles Tiara, and distressed all the edges of my paper.

Will be back later to share a few more thngs that i am busy with.

Charmed and delectable

I havent done a challenge for ages and been feeling terribly blue so decided to cheer myslef up a little by inking up this little darling "Annie" and entering the Dottie's world challenge, they had this beautiful close up photo of a flower for inspiration.

I layered a flower onto the front of my card and used Annie as the centre stamen, added a few dew drops to the petals and then layered some lace in the corners, and a few more roses, so that this card would also fit the bill for the challenge on Sketch Saturday.

Hope y"all having a great week
be back later with my ASFOS card

Kenny K's challenge dt

Hi stampers hope everyones having a great weekend.  I must say that i am a little down this morning as my husband is away to China for business this week, i hate being on my own with the kids and i have just seen him to the airport, so my mood is rather blue.
This week on Kenny K's krafty girlz we have a sketch for you by the uber talented Donna and inspiration from team A.
For my card this week i am using "Queens cutie" available from Kenny's downloads, i loved using her and she is such a dream to color.  I used a SU punch for the scallops at the bottom of my layers, made these hat pins that i thought worked quite nicely to go through the ribbon and a Mcgill punch for the pine leaves that i layered under my flowers.  My image and mat behind my image i cut out using my nesties.

Totally gorguss dt

We're having a fab challenge on Totally gorjuss this week sponsored by Crafters companion, "STAR", and i'm sure you can interpret this any way you like.  For my entry as a dt member this week it was quite easy as i was asked by one of the mum's at kindergaten to make wands for a childs birthday party, so i made twenty of these little stars and added one of My favorite little Maggies to the shaft of the wand.

I added a large rhinestone brad to the centre of the star and lots of little rhinestone flourishes coming from the centre.  Tilda was colored with my copics and given a going over with some stickles.  I wrapped a thin ribbon around the shaft of the wand and am quite pleased with how its turned out.
Enjoy the weekend

Mo's dp2 challenge dt

Another uber late post today, i am trying to find the best way to market all these copics that i have stuck my neck out for, or should i say, "put the noose around my neck for".  Have been running from pillar to post all week and just dont seem to be making much headway. UUURRRGGG!!!

Well enough complaining as i did have time to play and enjoy for a little while and get a card done for this weeks challenge over on Mo's dp2 digital challenge and hope that you will all pop over to see what the other talented ladies have done for inspiration, the challenge this week is "Little girls"
I am using "prairie girl" available from HERE

I colored her with my copics, i pulled out my seing machine and stitched around the edges of my card, used a MS punch for around my image, added lots of roses, buds and teeny little blossoms, i also used one of my new Nellie Snellen dies for around my image, and then a lovely piece of ribbon and bow to finish my card off.
Hope you are having a crafty week

A spoonfull of sugar dt

Late AGAIN!! life is getting in the way of all the importanta things like crafting these days and i am just not finding enough hours in the day for the  things I GOTTA DO! Well now that i got that off my chest on to the fun stuff.

We have a new challenge on A spoofull of sugar, "Christmas in August", this hopefully will give you a head start to the busy schedule when the festive season comes round, so hop over to the challenge blog and start on all those Christmas cards.

For mine i am using a darling little image from Mo's digital pencil too, called "I even love the box".
He's colored with my copics, sorry forgot to list my colors, i know, i know, should tie something round my neck to help me remember.  I used my MS punch around the page for the layer behind my image, used a few stickles on his gift bow, and some flower soft aroung the edge of the santa hat and the pom pom amd a few pearls to finish it off.  I felt that since the image was the focal point and the MS around the page mat took up so much space on my card i just wanted to leave as CAS as possible.
