Mo's dp 2 challenge dt

not much new here my friends, here i am late again for our challenge on Mo's digital pencil challenge blog, this week i have a really good excuse "Its my birthday"
so i have been at the hairdressers most of the day and clean forgot to do my post before i set out for my appointment today.
Ok now our fabulous challenge this week is "the fabric of our lives"  Boy was this a chllenge for me, expecially as my mojo has taken a bit of a knock being out of crafting for soooo long and only now getting back into the swing of things.  Well despair not!  i found this fabulous sheer crinolene whch i thought would make great flowers.

They wouldnt punch out and i nearly broke the punch trying, so i cut them with a few nestie dies, pierced a hole into the centre with my piercing tool and heated them with the heat gun, they curled beautifully once the heat hit them and then i just popped a pearl brad in the centre.  Then i decided to add some dry brushed puff paint to the flowers which really did it for me.
the image used is a newish one from Mo, snow day available here, colored with my trusty copics and added lots of stickles to highlight the snow.  the paper is old from MME, but a fab Christmas paper and its nearly finished.
thats it for me today, i am off to have dinner with my family, and have my cake and eat it! lol

Mo's dp 2 challenge dt

We have a great new challenge on Mo's DP2 challenge blog, "Flowers, fairies, folourishes, etc all with "F's"
you can choose all or one.
I chose them all cos hell why not!
My Fairy is "Fairy Kiki" available from Mo's store
colored with copics and given a good going over with stickles on the wings, it adds a real pop to the wings of fairies.  My image was cut using nesties.  the border i used a MS punch for and i had to add a few of these bridal garland to my flower arrangement for the added touch of the whimsical.
A simples easel folded card using one of the shaped cards kindly donated to me by my dear friend Shazi from Cape town, thanks girlfriend!
Now head over to the challenge blog and see all the "F's the girls used, he he

Mo's dp 2 challenge dt

time is just flying by and its itme for another fab challenge at Mo's dp 2 challenge blog and this week its "tags"
i never make tags and in the last two weeks i have made two sets of tags.  i did think i could get an early start to my Christmas stash, i know we dont celebrate Christmas, but it doesnt mean that i dont have friends that celebrate and would love a little gift with a cute Mo tag.
so after all the deliberating i made Christmas tags, had to print the images quite small for the tags, but i love the way they turned out.  The images i used are all available from Mo's store.
I used a Marianne die for the tags and a Nellie Snellen punch for the flowers adding lots of stardust stickles to my imges as well as the flowers, and these great pearly brads that i got at the NEC last year and clean forgot i had them.

I look forward to seeing what everybody else will do with their tags, so do pop in and enter our challenge.

Mo's dp 2 challenge dt

Hi blog friends, hope no one has been missing me too much, we have just ended two days of jewish holidays, is the reason why i am so late with my post.  We have a fab new challenge on Mo's dp 2 challenge blog set by our very own Dawn, and here's what Dawn has set for us:
"Create a card or project with one element in this recipe. It could be an image with 2 people, an image that portrays love or a sense of humor. You could even create a card with a recipe included or something that has to do with cooking. Mo has so many images that could be used here. Especially the new cooking line.
Well i gotta admit i scratched my head for quite a while before i decided to add to my dil's recipe book.  I made a simple cross over pocket, slipped a recipe card into it and didnt over embellish since this is going to be added to the book that is already a work in progress.
I used "whats cookin" from Mo's store, an ek success punch with some lace added to the scalloped edge which is a grater arount the whole card, paper from MME, and of course my image was colored with copics.
The girls sure do a fab job over at MO's, so i hope you will come and join us this week as i love seeing what all the participants do with Mo's fabulous images.

Mo's dp 2 challenge dt

This is the last week that i am hosting the challenges for Mo's challenges and this week i challenged the girls to "Alter something"  I have had these starbucks cups laying around for quite sometime and i love using them in my craft room/studio as if they topple over there is no mess and of course your coffee stays warm for ages.  I also like to grab coffeee on my way out the house when i grab my water bottle and these are ideal, NO MESS.

I have been wanting to personalise my cup for so long and thought this would be the golden opportunity and what better way that to have Mo's fabulous Bethy's wagon on your cup.  I aksed my seven year old daughter what she thought of the image and she said that it looks like little Bethy is selling her brother and sister so that was what i used for the sentiment on the wagon "family good to go", i wrote the sentiment, but when i did i looked at my childs handwriting and you know how kids sometimes get their letters back to front so that was how i wrote it.  I also added a bit of a distressed look to the wagon, giving it a bit of a paint peeled look.  I followed a tutorial on Debbie Pamment's blog using paint net, which is a free downloadable programme, and trust me, she made it so easy to follow, as we all know i have MAJOR technology issues, being a child born in the sixties.  If i can do it anyone can.
My image is colored with copics, i used prima flowers with buttons in the centre and a bit of twine, i added a stretch of lace where i joined my paper to fit the length of my cup.  I am so pleased with my new cup and if i wanted to i could have added so much more as there is a gap between the inside of the cup and the outside, however i didnt want to distract from this stunning little image.

I know its a long post and has lots of photos, but how do you take a picture of something thats round? any tips, LOL
Hope you will come and play at Mo's this week
Enjoy!

Totally gorjuss dt

Our challenge this week on Totally gorjuss is Christmas in August, getting a head start on the Christmas rush, sponsored by Cupids clear stamps, i wish i wasnt on the dt for this one as then i may have the chance to win these for myself, been to check them out and there are some really nice stamps there that i could give a very good home to.

For my Christmas card, i am using " Long haired Angel with puppy available HERE. I have colored my image using my normal format of copics, i used one of the EK success border punches for one of my layers, added loads of roses and buds, a couple of bead pins that i made and i also made a flourish out of the flat backed pearls, and a large lush ribbon and bow.  I gave the little Angel a good going over with loads of stickles to her wings and also added the stickles to the roses.  The rest of the dt did a fabulous job on their cards this week, please pop over and check them out for a bit of inspiration, seems everybody loves doing Christmas cards.

Have a great weekend crafting

Mo's dp2 challenge dt

Today's challenge over at Mo's dp2 is hosted by our terrific DT Leader
Peggy.. She challenged us to create a card with a Fall/Halloween theme.  Lo and behold i found this paper that i have had forever by Sandy Lion, and do i have tons of it, i must have got it on special, dont know what possesed me.  I'm using pirate Kai available from Mo's store, i totally loved coloring him and i know that the colors are very bright, but i am pleased with the way it turned out.

I just had to have a few stickles over the pumpkin, then i cut another pumpkin to use on the front of my card, and added rhinestones swirls and a few feathers in the top left corner.  The punch i used is a MS iron fence corner punch, i unfortunately couldnt get the border one when i ordered this as they were out of stock, so i made a plan and just adjusted it to make it work.
Dont ask whats happened to my post Mr blogger is also giving me hard time today, but at least the post is up.

Mo's dp2 challenge dt

Hi fellow stampers, i am so late with this post today as our ADSL line has been down, but thank goodness it was only a little glitch and i was offline for about 42 hours, let me tell you it was not fun, i almost had a panic attack that i wouldnt be able to do my post for this today.

moving on to business.....have you ever dreamed of being part of Mo's dp team? Well now is your chance as we are looking for a card with WOW from one of you talented ladies to join us as a geust, not only that you can win a $20 gift voucher to spend in Mo's store.  All you gotta do is create a FABULOUS card, enter Our challenge creating "things with wings"

I made my card for this week using "Fairy Kiki" available Here, colored this little darling with my copics, and added lots of diamond stickles to her wings.  I have loads of flowers at the moment and decided not to be frugal with them as you can see.  I also acquired one of the new cuttlebug cut and embossing folders and thought it would be perfect for this particular large sentiment.  I made a stick pin to add to my ribbon.  Hope you enjoy and pop over to Mo's DP2 challenge blog to see what the other talented ladies on the team came up with.

Mo's dp 2 challenge 40 dt

Hi there its a masculine challenge this week on Mo's digital pencil challenge blog and since this is one of the newest from Mo's web shop i had to use it.  This little darling's name is Jeffy available Here.

Colored with my copics, my dp i found in my stash from K&co, but i think its a fairly old one, with lots of lovely summer words and colors, i used one of my newish Nellie Snellen dies for the  mat behind my image, added two die cut and emboss from cuttlebug, inked them up so you could see the emboss on the palm tree and the sand castle.

Doesnt it look like Jeffy may be looking into the sun, so i added a lovely yellow flower with the big ass button in the middle with a piece of thin ribbon tied in a bow.

DP2 challenge dt

I am late as usual and this week is worse as i have my sister and her six BOYS visiting, i say boys, but in truth they are men, ranging from 27 to 15 in ages and trust me to feed this lot is like cooking for a small army.
Well i have made a card for the DP2 challenge using Lacie with ice cream available from Mo's digital pencil and the theme this week for the challenge is "summer".  When you talk to me about summer it brings to mind, lon hot days and ice cream.

My dp is one of those that i dont remember where it came from, just appeared in the stash, and lately i seem to pretty stuck on this color combo, pink and blue, but it works for me.  Used a MS punch for the strip across the bottom of my card, added a ribbon with a large bow, and added a cherry blossom and butterfly.  Image was colored with my copics.

So sorry i dont have much to say today and the post is kinda boring, but i am pressed for time, sure will be back over the weekend with more to share.

Mo's challenges dt

You gonna have to forgive me for being so late with this post, but someone stole a day this week, i kept thinking it was Wednesday only to get a rude awakening and find out that i had lost a day as it is Thursday.
So here is my good news!!I may be off the dream team for Mo, but i got and email from Peggy to ask me if i would like to move to the challenge team, well what could i say? No?  i think not, i started screeching like a lunatic and accepted right away.
This is my card for the first challenge on the DP2 challenge team and the first challenge that we have with me as part of the team is to use "Fabric" on your card, not a bow or ribbon.

I have used "Jack & Ginger" for my card available at Mo's store, colored my image with copics, i decided that i would use lace around my image since i got a real bargain on lace the other day, added some of the ever present flowers and a sentiment from SU, L"amour.   Have you noticed i ahve been stitching on my cards, remember the machine i bought at a bargain that blew up in my face?  was a bargain to have repaired and now works like a bomb, he he.  So you gonna see lots of stitching.

Pop over to the challenge blog to see what the other fabulously talented dt made to inspire you, and perhaps join in the fun.

Dazzling "Diva"

Hi blog hoppers, i have just done my final card for Mo's dream team and let me just say, its a sad moment :(
To add to that i cant tell you enough what an honour it has been for me to have worked with the ladies on Mo's dream team, they are the most helpfull forthcoming lot of ladies that i have had the fortune to work with on the Net at large, you girls rock!

For my final card i decided that i just had to use this little darling "Diva" available for purchase from Mo HERE.

When i first saw her i had plans on adding feathers to her boa, etc, etc.  Well i did none of the things i had planned and then decided that if she is the Diva, she needs lots of bling!

I colored her with my copics, added rhinestones for her necklace and then teeny tiny pearls for the earings, used a new MS punch curved arches around the page, stitched around the first layer of dp, found this fluffy trim in my stash that i thought would look fabby, adding lots of rhinestone flourishes, and the silver butterflies and last but not least i found this beautiful little charm shoe that looks just like a diva's shoe so i had to add that to the string of fluff.

A spoonfull of sugar dt

Hi there all you blog hoppers, did ya think that a broken ankle would put me out of action permanently? I mean its the ankle not the brain, he he.  Well i am back up and hopping around with this huge big moon boot thingy, but i think i gotta get rid of that too as its really clumsy.
Anywho on with this weeks challenge.  Debbie set the challenge this week on ASFOS, Animal crackers, yep you gotta have some kinda animal on your card, there is a little twist this week as we had to get our daughters, sons, mothers, whoever you could team up with to make a card also. We are being sponsored this week by whimsy stamps who are gonna give the lucky entrant 5 free digi's of their choice.

My 7 year old daughter fancies herself an artist and now thinks cos she has been featured in cyber space she's gonna be famous.  Well i dont even know who the stamp is by that she colored the image of since it was stamped for me by a friend, and i just let her look through the already stamped images to choose what she wanted to color.  She used derwent aqua pencils and one of my paintbrushes for the blending, initially she was so excited and thought she was gonna use my copics, but that wasnt happening.  I did have to cut the layers for her and tie the ribbon, but all the rest was all her work.  She got so involved in doing this that she colored an additional image that i am gonna post here also.

Then for my card i just HAD to use another one of Mo's digi images, and this one is called "Patience" available HERE.  i used a sketch for my card and now cant remember where i got the sketch from so will have to start blog hopping to find it.  Colored my image with copics and the dp is from paper pizzaz.
When i cut my image i just thought i gotta make it look like this poor kitty is trying to claw her way away from this little terror, so i put her claw and tail out of the side of the mat, he he, poor kitty tat.
HA!! i found the place that i got the sketch from, sketch Saturday so thats where i am gonna enter this card of mine.

Mo's bye bye girl and combined challenges

Hi all you stalkers, hope the week started off well.  I must just add that mine is going terrible, dont ask how dont ask where, cos your geuss is as good as mine, but i somehow managed to break my ankle over the weekend.  Just woke up on Saturday morning looking like i have elephantitus in my right leg, and its purple to boot.  To add insult to injury we live in a duplex, upstairs and downstairs, so you can well imagine how i am feeling, and my studio is downstairs :(

I did however manage to get a couple of things done in the studio this weekend and i will be entering this one in a few challenges listed below.  I love Mo's images as i am sure you have heard me say on a number of occasions and this one is no exception, she is available HERE, she's called "bye bye"

Dp is locally South African made by Dalro designs, image colored with copics, flowers ladybugs and embellies from my stash.

I followed the sketch on Sketch Saturday so this will be entered there
DU2DS: blooms and butterflies
Stamp something: summer
Stamptacular Sunday: cute as a bug and if you add a baby its an extra entry.
Hope you enjoy this as much as i enjoyed putting it together,
 Have a great week
