Mo's dp2 challenge dt

We have a FAB new challenge on Mo's dp2 challenge blog, " spring colors and handmade flowers"
Now if you're pressed for time and cant imagine molding and curling your flowers, then these flowers that i put together will help, since i am exactly there right now.  My image is Birthday Fairy Lee available from Mo's store.  I always have such fun with Mo's images as i choose really girly one that i can bling up and enjoy.
Back to my flowers, they were punched using various sizes and then layered together with a flattened bead cap and then a pearly brad through the centre, couldnt be easier than that girls.
the flourishes are from Marianne Creatables, the ribbon from my stash, as are the pearls, i used a MS puncha round the page from one of my layers and this dp another one of my favourites that i will miss when its finished is from Mellissa Francis.
The girls on the challenge dt have some wonderful floral ideas to inspire so please pop over to the challenge blog and come and play with us this week

Bizzy Becs New release 5th preview

Another late posting from me, does anybody else out there have this problem?  I seem to take on all these chores, that just dont leave enough hours in the day/ days in the week.  Who actually decided on seven days a week?  I could do without about eight or nine days.
We are highlighting another delightful image from:

collection from Bizzy Becs online store, dont forget there is a little surprise for one of my lucky commentors of all the new release images, so leave little comment.

and i have a very simple inside of my card today, not enough hours for all the things i would love to do, at least it has an inside that matches the outside, lol

Magnolialicious Challenge dt

Apologies all round for this late post, technology is sometimes not all that its cut out to be.
We have a new challenge on Magnolialicious challenge blog and this week its an inspirational challenge Pink and brown or baby, my favourite two choices.  WOW! when i saw this picture for inspiration i knew exactly what i wanted to do.
I hadnt made an easel for ages and they always have the WOW factor, so that goes without saying that that was gonna be my choice and when we say babies, well i go gaga.  I just love this sleeping baby Tingla available from Diana's store Here.
i have gotta say that i just love LOTS of things happening on my cards, so this one is a little over embellished, but thats me, all the flowers and embellies are from the never ending stash, image colored with copics,  senitment from LOTV, had to have lace to give my ensemble a soft around the edges look.  I used a Mcgill punch form the pine leaves, A MS punch that i love for my border, i am so bummed as this was my favourite punch and i broke it this week, last but not least, a paper doily from my stash.
My teamies have all done fabulous work with this inspirational challenge so please head over to the challenge blog and join the fun.  Diana is so generous and offering the Mr linky chosen lucky winner a gift certificate:

LOTV challenge

I know i have been kinda quiet of late, but there are lots of reasons/ excuses:  We only have a few weeks left before the wedding of my eldest son, and we all know that weddings are lots of work, my little girl hasnt been well, she suffers from migraines, and we actually thought there was something sinister afoot as her eyes started bleeding two weeks ago, so we were off to do all kinds of scary tests this week. Also having other children and a home to run, well all i can tell you is that i need a HOLIDAY!

Ok so now that my friends are up to speed with my life, on to my card for the LOTV challenge , they had a great sketch with lots of layers which i love for last weeks challenge and dumbolina here, missed the deadline so i am gonna say here that these are my favorite colors and enter this weeks challenge, and as we all know if your mojo is kinda flat, a sketch is great as you really dont need to think too hard.
My poor lotv stamps are really neglected, i bought all the new stamps at the NEC last year and then had to have the new little fairies that were released recently, but i sent hours trying to get my cc to work, finally i asked a darling friend of mine to send them to me, which she did, "Thank You so much sweetness"
My image is colored with copics, the paper, is from a company called "Calambour" Italy if any of you know where i can get more, i would love to know as this is the last of it and i LOVE this paper.  My card size is only 5" X 5" which is a change for me, as the lotv images are quite little.  The sentiment is from crafty individuals that i have had for ages and forgot i had, i stickeled some punched butterflies to death and gave them pearl bodies, all the flowers and pearl sprays are from my stash.
have a great week

Mo's dp2 challenge dt

Time for our new challenge on Mo's challenge blog and this week we want to see "Non traditional valentine"
To me valentines speaks of getting a VERY LARGE bouquet of flowers so of course this little darling would work great for me, her name is "Nelly" and she is available from Mo's store
I colored her with my copics as per usual.  The dp unfortuantely is really old and didnt have the label on it any longer, i had been saving it for when i needed something other than red for valentines, and i just love that it is a denim looking paper with hearts all over it.
I used my MS heart border punch, a heart lace doily from my stash as one of my layers, and then i found these chipboard hearts that were aching to be used so i dabbed some embossing powder on them, distressed them a little.  Layered my roses onto some flat flowers from my stash, a length of ribbon and a pearl ribbon slider.
the inside of my card is pretty simple, but i think that with all thats going on the front of my card i can get away with a simple design on the inside
have a great crafting week

Magnolialicious Challenge dt

I am soooo EXCITED! to finally share my news with you that Diana Crick from Magnolialicious has finally made all my dreams come true by asking me to be on the Magnolialicious challenge blog design team!!!  I have had to sit on this little gem of information for about two or three weeks now, so you can well imagine how i am feeling now to finally be able to share this news.  When i recieved her email, my husband didnt know what was going on, he heard me yelling and whooping upstairs, he came running like a bat out of hell to see what all the noise was about, i will give him his due as he made all the right noises when i shared the news with him, and of course being the man that he is, was very happy that i was so ecstatic.
Ok enough of me and on with our challenge, our challenge chosen by Tacey, is "PINK, BLACK AND RED"
Well must admit, not three colors that i have used together often.
And Diana is offering a wonderful gift certificate to the winner redeemable at the  Magnolialicous store
For my card i have used Ladybug Tilda from the Raising the ceilling collection, #374 on the inventory.  If she not in stock right now, i am sure Diana will have her back in the store soon and there is LOADS to choose from.
colored with my copics, and loads of stickles added.  I stitched around the card, but i seemed to be havng one of my days with my sewing machine as it just wouldnt stitch properly and eventually i just thought it would add a bit of character to my card.
I used one of my Hero arts stamps to add a few flourishes around the edge of my image, cut with nesties labels 14.  The sentiment is computer generated.  I have also used one of my MS punches border hearts, the hat pins, flowers, button, charm and flowers are all from my stash.
Please head over to the Magnolialicious challenge blog to check out what the rest of the girls have to inspire you for this weeks challenge and join in the fun.
Product details are listed on my Marvellous Maggies blog
have a great week
