Whiff of Joy dt

We have a recipe for you this week blog hoppers, 1 ribbon, 2 buttons, 3 papers.  Not too hard to get your heads round and the dt have some great inspiration for you, so pop over to the challenge blog and have a little shifty.

I absolutely love this stamp and i found this dp in a bargain bin last week and just had to take it home with me i wish there had been more because it has such beautiful colors and the possiblities could be endless.  I also noticed recently tha it is very difficult to get dp with purples and lilacs or is that just my imagination.
I colored my image with my faithful copics added some of the good ol glittah to her wings, some roses and a few flourishes in the corners and voila!

A spoonfull of sugar dt/ challenge 97

Our challenge this week on A spoonfull of sugar  is to make something other than a square or rectangle, and we have a fabulous sponsor this week from Aifactory who have the most beautiful digi stamps you gonna just love them.
Since my first attemempt at something for easter was a bit of a disaster i decided to give it another go and made a gable box to put little easter eggs into and used one of my Sarah Kay images that i havent used in AGES.  The dp is a local South African company that i dont even remember the name of.  I made a little oval tag for my sweet little image that i had colored with my copics, i then used some of my ek success punches to punch out the flower.

Two in one

Oh i am having such fun, i have managed to get two challenges with this one, Just Magnolia whose sketch by Jane that i have used and Secret crafter who want pink and green flowers.  Now how easy was that?

I am using my Happy Tilda, i colored her with my copics and created a little outdoor scene by masking a sun in the sky and using a little stamp that my friend Sharon sent me to make the grass, added a few little butterlies and then it was just a case of using flowers around the bottom of my image.  the dp is again a Stacey Claire Boyd.  Since i had made the sunshine scene i thought that the sentiment was quite apt.

Lily of the valley

I'm hoping to cover four challenge with this card today, and they are: charisma cards, they want spring, with pastel colors, crafty calendar they wann see flower power, cute card Thursday and dimension which my flowers certainly have lots of, including the little wedding bells and finally Papertake weekly whose sketch i used for this card.  I think thats a record number for me to cover with one card.

I have colored my cute LOTV image with copics and added some glitter to the little wedding gown, i think this is the sweetest little image and the groom looks pretty determined that he is gonna get there, where ever he intends to be.  Used one of my MS around the page punches for the pink mat behind my image, loads of pearls, the sentiment is locally S African, i added some glittah mist to the flowers and used a ribbon behind my flowers onto which i tied some pearls and two little bells.  The dp is OLD from 7 gypsies.

Totally gorjuss dt

That time of the week again for the totally gorjuss challenge and this week we wanna see hearts, heart shaped card or hearts on your card, but make sure it features HEARTS.  I have been dying to make a box for a while as i am getting a little tired of regular cards, so this week you have a heart shaped box that i intend to fill with chocolates, my i made this box far bigger than i intended so i wll have to find some very big choccies.

I havent used this stamp yet from lady bug and friends, called "friends", lots of pearls some flowers and the deep border puch from MS, trellis border.  also my SU scaloped punch, the DP is another Stacey Claire Boyd, i love her papers.

well thats it for now

Whiff of joy dt

Hi blog hoppers, this week on whiff of joy challenges we have another great sketch for you by our very own Bev, so pop over to the challenge blog and enter for this weeks challenge.  My dp for this card is Dianne's daughters, a really old dp, but still one of my favorites and because i have been so bored with normal square and rectangle cards lately i decided to give the sketch a twist.  I dont know what this style of card is called as its just one of those ideas that i came up with, but i am sure its not new.  I folded the front of my card in half and used a nestie to cut only half way through the front so that the whole of the front of my card would have a concertina look, but wuldnt lose the sketch.  Another new favorite of mine are feathers, the smallest and fluffiest fromt he batch.  I tied the feather into my ribbon with a little rose bud, added some pearls and then my all time have to are the flowers.

A spoonfull of sugar dt

I can finally feel like i am back in my comfort zone, believe me i didnt have a clue what to do for the easter challenge last week.Do any of you ever feel that way when entering these challenges, i know they are challenges but surely we shouldnt feel like its a REAL challenge to get our heads round.

Anyway this weeks challenge is for bookmarks, nice and easy yes?  Well it can be as easy or as complicated as you would like to make it.  For mine i made a card using Jam Tilda colored with copics, masked onto this tree stump, i stamped an additional one for the bookmark exactly the same that i could use on my bookmark.  This is one of those really simple bookmarks that you make to fit over the actual card making it look like part of the front image and it has magnets on it so you can later use it on the page of your novel.

I also used one of my new MS trellis punches for one of my layers and i added some butterflies to the front also, with little trails of pearls.

Just Magnolia/ all sorts

You hoppers probably are thinking i am on a roll right now, having posted sooo many cards this week, mmm, no such luck the previous ones for the dt's have been scheduled posts, he he.  Looks like i am finally getting the hnag of this tchno thing hey?

Well let me say that i create best after a good rest, oooh a bit of poetry. bet you never expected that from me.
Enough already i geuss of my mindless banter, here is an easel card that i made and put on top of two large drawers that are going to very special friend in CT this week.  I had to use my sweet Tilda tha i got a while ago, slowly using all my new stamps, but got a few left to share.  So she is of course colored with copics then i had a bit of a rummage through my stash and found this hessian mesh and decided it would pretty good with the coloring i had chosen and i havent used natural colored pearls for a while so those came out in all their glorious sizes, and some of my treasured cherry blosoms.  for the drawer handles i found these beautiful roses that i had used to make serviette rings last year na dthese were the left overs so they got the distress treatment and stuck on the drawers as handles.  MMM i think i may have to keep this........maybe not.

Please leave me some feedback.......................

Totally gorjuss dt- Ribbon

This week on Totally gorjuss we wanna see ribbon, the rest is up to you.  I havent used my gojuss girls for a while and i cleaned the studio today and they looked a little forlorn so i have used my little gorjuss girl and masked out the kitty cat.  Colored with copics and matted on two nesties, my dp is Stacey Claire Boyd, my how i love her paper.  I chopped a piece out the top and bottom of the base card and wound my ribbon around leaving a nice gap to add some of my pearls, i also got myself a new daisy punch so i had to use it, i then chopped another daisy smaller of course, flattened a bead cap and added a pearl to the centre.

Hope you will pop over to see the rest of the dt cards, this week they are really fab and some great prizes up for grabs.
Dont forget i LOVE feedback.............

whiff of joy dt call

Katharina is having a Geust dt call, they also have a recipe to follow 1 button, 2 dp, 1 cardstock and 1 ribbon.  I havent used this stamp and have had her for ages so i thought it was high time.  I had to add a few extras as you know me, a few pearls and some flowers and floss for good measure.  Also this nestie  and the Martha Stewart punch that i used are new ones, now who of us can get new things and not use them on the very next project we do?

Whiff of joy dt / crafty creations

I thought i would combine my dt this week with crafty creations challenge as they require you to make your own flowers, which i had already done for my card.

I used the new Willow dress up from whiff of joy image that i colored to match my paper from my minds eye, lots of pearls and the setiment is a hero arts that i thought suited the image.

The challenge this week on whiff of joy is to make an easel card, so pop over to see what the rest of the dt came up with and hope you will join the challenge, they are far easier to make than they appear to be.

A spoonful of sugar dt

Yay, this is my first submission for the spoonful of sugar dt, i only have on misgiving that i dont really have easter stamps as being jewish we dont celebrate easter, however i did have these cute bunnies, from way back in the days when i was never gonna stamp.  After having my thinking cap on for a few days i decided i may be able to put something together.

I cut papers with my nesties to look like two easter eggs, colored my bunnies to match the dp, added some glittah and a ribbon round one of the easter eggs, a few pearls and there you have it. No great shakes but as the blog is a challenge blog this certainly was a challenge for me to come up with.

Just Magnolia/ charisma cards dt call

Hope everybody is having a relaxing weekend, i relaxed so well yesterday i almost couldnt come out the coma the see to my kids last night.  As you can see i did mange to get a burst of energy from somewhere and headed into the studio for some crafting.  I saw something similar to this a while back and thought i had booked marked it, but its gone as to where i got the inspiration from.

I have used my NEW Ladybug Tilda colored with copics, matted on a nestie, set behind a fancy pants printed acetate.  I tried following the sketch on Just Magnolia with grat difficulty because i already had it in mind to use this acetate, so i flipped the sketch and put some of my layers behind the acetate.  I have used a SU punch for the scallopes on the side of my card with lots of black and red pearls.  Because i wanted to enter this into the  Charisma cards challenge and the criteria is to use butterlies, i chopped some butterlfies out with my cuttlebug die in acetate, used some staz on on the acetate wings and then added glitter to the outside of the wings of my acetate butterlies so you can see them and layered them ALL OVER the card front.  Oh i hope y'all like this as much as i enjoyed making it and hope it inspires you.

Please leave a comment......... enjoy whats left of the weekend.........

Totally gorjuss dt

Can you believe its that time of the week again?  And we already a third of the way into March, when we come up for air again it will be mid year, i think  that the older you get the faster the time goes, mmm i dont think its making any sense to me either.

Well this week on totally gorjuss we want " Sweet".  I got this charmed stamp from my frined in the Uk a couple of weeks ago and have been dying to use her, so out the packaging she came to get inked up, i had to seat her on something and i decided this sweet yummy looking cake would do just fine.  Is Annie not one of the sweetest images you ever laid eyes on, i masked her to get her seated on the cake, colored her and the cake with copics, added some of this sparkles that my friend  Sharon kindly shared with me that she won on a challenge blog, a few pearls, and i had to give the ensemble a cherry blossom.  The plate that the sentiment is framed in was chipboard that i inked and used a bit of utee on just so that it wouldnt be so flimsy, threaded a piece of ribbon through the holes on the sides of the bookplate, which was cut on my cricut.
Hope you gonna join the challenge this week some fabby prizes up for grabs.
Dont forget to let me know what you think................

Sketch Saturday meets CCT

Here is a card for you hoppers after all your patience with my waffling for the last few posts.

I have used the sketch from SS and used the green for the criteria on CCT.  Another of my new stamps, tilda writing diary for this beaut that i wanna share.  I must say that all my cards of late seem to have a new fav of mine " Feathers"  just loving how they look so whimsical on the cards and they certainly fit with the writing quill so i recon i can get away with them.  Colored my Tilda with copics add lots of pearls, a prima rose and thats it, oops forgot the corner, which is a cuttlebug corner, ribbon from the stash.
I must apologise again for the quality of my photos please bear wityh me till i get my head round this new camera.  My new pet hate "NEW TECHNO GADGETS"

whiff of joy challenge

We have a fab sketch by our very own Jane pop over to the challenge blog to check it out, create your project and add it to mr linky.
This here is my contribution this week i have used the beautiful dancing willow that i have fallen for, colored her with my copics.  Paper by K&co, i added soem rhinestones to her necklace, a lovely prima flower and bead cap under the rose as one of my flower layers.

Now for the sad news, my camera which i loved as it was soooo simple to use, died on me and wont let me download any of my images, so today i rushed out and got another camera.  HMF, i dont know how to use the darn thing, too much technology, so as a result bloghoppers these are the images i managed to get from the new and supposedly improved technology.  I am not impressed.
