Totally gorjuss dt

Time for your weekly challenge on Totally gorjuss blog hoppers.  this week the theme is "Babies", and boy did i have fun putting this lot together, i seem to be veering towards the projects that take the most time these days.

I have used a new stamp for me from Belles & whistles called "Sweet dreams" and boy did i get all gushy when i was coloring this little darling.  I think its also the fact that my baby is getting big now as she has just truned four and i have reached my sell by date.  So no more babies for me, perhaps my son will make me a granny REAL SOON.

I was inspired to make a baby carriage by this lady Maya who has a great tutorial to follow although i did change it somewhat to suit myself.  I used one or my Ms Punches for all the lacy borders on the carriage and the card, added lots of flowers and a butterfly to finish it off, aswell as a few pearls for the feminine touch with it being all pnky.

Have a great weekend crafting girls and i look forward to seeing all the baby creations.

Mo's dp2 challenge dt

Time for another challenge on Mo's DP2 challenge blog girls, and this week we have another fab challenge from Elaine, and she has challenged us to make a Christmas card.  I used Pammy's stocking available from Mo's store, and i think she is an absolute darling, and what a dream to color.

I have colored my image as per usual with my copics, the dp is from MME, layered flowers and added a few spinkles of diamond glittah to the flowers, aswell as the Mcgill punch for the fern branch, and loads of teeny cherry blossoms and a few buds. I added a double layer of flower soft to the christmas stocking and loads of glittah.  Had to add lace to this ensemble when i saw the ruffle on the gown, just couldnt resist.  Used one of my MS piunches down the side of my card and an additonal piece of lace across the card, and a few little rhinestones to finish it off.

The rest of the dt have done a fabulous job on this challenge so please pop over to check out their work.

Whiff of joy dt

It feels like ages since i last did a card for the Whiff of Joy challenge team, this week we have a really fun challenge "FUZZ", use flower soft, flock, felt, anything that gives the fuzz.

for my card i used flower soft on the snowy ground of my stamped image that was colored with copics, then i also decided at the last minute to add a bit of a snow drift to the top and bottom of one of my layers.  Lastly i added a couple of snowflakes to the corner, and a length of ribbon across my  card.
I used the sketch from Friday sketches so i caould enter this little card in their challenge also.

Nautical/ water themed challenge

Hi all you blog hoppers, i made a card today for the nautical themed challenge on Magnolialicious highlights, it started out as one idea and then evolved into something totally different, but i finished it and thats for me the biggest task, to get something done with the kids around.

I used my mermaid from my new summer kit, colored with copics.  I wanted her to actually look LIKE she IS in the water, so i made a prothole using different size circles and added brads around the edges, then i raised the top circle and added a bag of hair gel over my image so that when you hold it in the light you get a water like reflection over the image.  Know what i mean?  You know the reflection you see in a swimming pool when you look into a clear pool, yep same thing.  Not sure that i have managed to capture it in the photos, but i did take it outside to try and get the best picture.  If you click on the pictures you can actually see where the gel has a few bubbles.

Well i also created an under water scene with a sunken treasure chest and ephemera that would be expected at the bottom of the ocean.
Hope you like it

Lily of the valley challenge

I am rushing this morning to do a few domestic chores, ARGGG!! but i wanted to get this posted before the challenge ends, as you may have noticed i already missed one yesterday.

This is a smaller version of the advent thingy, in so much as it is just single drawers, i have put items into the drawers and it is being posted to my friend for her birthday.

I followed the sketch on LOTV for the front of the drawers.  I used another Nellie Snellen die for cutting the mat around my images, which was colored with copics, added lots of star dust stickles to the handbag, shoes and the mirror as well as some glaze on the mirror to give it a glass look.  I used bead for the drawer handles and the legs on the drawers.
Have a great week

Kenny k dt- challenge #3

We are up again for another challenge on Kenny K's  and this week we have a sketch for you from our very own Donna.
Keep in mind girls, that a sketch is a guideline, you can twist it turn it, but use it as a guide.  This week i am using "Uptown girl" colored with copics as per usual, i used a Nellie Snellen for the mat behind my image, my dp is from calambour and a local company called Fab scraps.  I have had these phrase plates in my stash forever and decided they would do for this particular card as i always have a problem finding the right sentiments, i layered my flowers with a few bead caps and some Magnolia glass garlands.

The girls on Kenny K's Krafty girlz are a really talented group so pop over and join in the fun.

Totally Gorjuss- dt

This is our 40th challenge on totally gorjuss this week, boy time flies.  This week the challenge is to create a "Congratulations" card.  I have had this beautiful bride from WOJ since December and thought i HAVE to use her soon, so i lightly colored the shadows on her wedding dress and her beautiful bouquet and head dress, embossed one of my Nellie Snellen dies onto the front of my card face.

The folded front of this card was made using my scor pal, which i know i dont use often enough.  the pearls that frame my image are 2mm peals, i love them and addeda  few to her neck, giving her a peal necklace for her big day.  I used the basic grey template to lay down the pearl detail on the folded edge of my card also.
I wanted to keep this card clean and simple, because i was quite pleased with the look of these folds for the front of my card.  The patterned paper that you see peeps of aroun the edge of the card is actually stuck in the inside of my card with a window for writing on, sorry i didnt take pics of it, but sure you get the gist.

have a great crafting weekend

Anything but square

Charisma cardz has a new challenge for anything but square.  Would you believe it, this is what i have making all week to go our with my internet orders, so it was as easy as pie to just take photos of one of them and add it to my blog.  I used "sparkling Tilda" cos she was little enough to get onto a round tag, colored her with my copics, added diamond dust stickles, rhinestones and a new cherry blossom that i just got in stock.

This card doesnt open like a regular one, rather it has a brad pushed through the back that you cover in the front with the layers behind the image, this works as a mechanism for the card to swing open with.

OOps you can see on this one that the first time i made the hole i made a mistake, but you cant see it from the front of course and do you think any one will turn it over like i have here, i doubt it.
have a great weekend

Mo's dp2 challenge dt

Hi blog hoppers today is an especially important day as it is our fabulous designer Mo's birthday,  SO HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU MO.

Now this week Elaine is hosting our challenge and she wanted us to use paper piecing on our card.  I have done it a number of times with a regular stamp, but i am sure by now you all know how techno challenged i ma and this was one of those times that i scratched my head, and my bum, for a number of days before it came to me as to how i was gonna go about this.  I used "Sophie" available from Mo's digital pencil, colored all the areas that i wasnt gonna be piecing with my copics and then once i had all the pieces cut and ready to stick to the already printed and colored image i went over the dp with my copics and added some shadows.
The little doll in the corner i made using a large wooden bead and some ribbon that i had gathered and then i just used lenghts of rope for the arms and legs.

The trellis is a deep edge MS punch that i just punched and then added the little leaves that were punched with a Leone em punch and then a few little flowers with teeny tiny pearl centres.
Please join us on the Challenge blog and most of all have fun.

P.S:  Thanks Ms Jen, i have added my card to the challenge on Really reasonable ribbon ramblings challenges and just love it when i get the opportunity to enter my card into a challenge with the chance of winning something.

Belle with teddy

I made another card today to enter into a challenge using "Belle with teddy", i recieved this stamp a couple of weeks ago and hadnt inked it up, i ordered her cos have loved her forever and then neglected the poor darling.  The challenge on Belles and whistles is to do some distressing, so i had so much fun using a little tool that is perfect for distresing the edges of your paper.  I nearly had a heart attack cutting into these new Prima papers that my friend Cariena sent me, love them.  I colored Belle with my copics, again i forgot to take note of the colors that i used, gotta make a reminder.  I stitched around the edges of my layers, used an around the page MS punch on one of the layers, raised the image on a bit of foam for some dimension.  the ribbon is one of the many that i have in the stash, i added a little teddy charm to the "giggle" sentiment and only after i had attached it i noticed that the teddy on the charm is almost identical to the little teddy in my stamped image, with a little heart on the tummy.

I chopped and inked the edges of a few little leaves with a fiskars punch that i have had for ages and added another little tag with the word friends and a few mandatory roses.

Have a great week bloggers

Stamp with fun

Feels like i havent entered a challenge in a lllooonnnggg time and since i am busy doing a few cards for a local stamp company i thought i may just take the time to enter them into a few of the challenge where one can use any stamp.

This particular stamp is locally SAfrican and i colored it with my copic, sorry no picture of the colors i used, gave the bow and the wings a good going over with the diamond dust, used a MS punch that was kindly sent to me by my friend Jean, added a couple of fluffy feather and some of my newly acquired flowers, also got this fab new ribbon the other day, and then i just added a couple of pearls to finish it off.

Entering it into the challenge on stamp with fun

Totally gorjuss challenge 39

This is my 300th post and i have been blogging for just over a year, i am totally gobsmacked that i have been at this such a short period and done so much. I geuss i should add that i have been feeling rather flat of late, i do hope it isnt reflected in my cards.

I was at one of the local suppliers this week and managed to find a few things, which should have cheered me up, but sadly i am now broke.  Well on with the challenge for this week on Totally gorjuss we wanted a "thinking of You" card.  i decided to go with the thinking of you, but not to use that as my sentiment, instead used a WOJ sentiment, "hello friend".  I have also decided to use the sketch on Just Magnolia and the recipe from stamping for the weekend.

I colored my tilda with copics, hope the picture will help, used these teeny tiny new flat backed pearls i found, cut the two borders with a new Ek success border punch, added my flowers with lots and lots of diamond stickles, not sure you can see them.
Have a great weekend

Mo's dp 2 challenge 40 dt

Hi there its a masculine challenge this week on Mo's digital pencil challenge blog and since this is one of the newest from Mo's web shop i had to use it.  This little darling's name is Jeffy available Here.

Colored with my copics, my dp i found in my stash from K&co, but i think its a fairly old one, with lots of lovely summer words and colors, i used one of my newish Nellie Snellen dies for the  mat behind my image, added two die cut and emboss from cuttlebug, inked them up so you could see the emboss on the palm tree and the sand castle.

Doesnt it look like Jeffy may be looking into the sun, so i added a lovely yellow flower with the big ass button in the middle with a piece of thin ribbon tied in a bow.

WOJ challenge 83 dt

Hi blog hoppers its time for our challenge on Whiff of Joy and our fabulous teamy Bev has created the sketch that you need to use, if you follow the link you can check out the sketch, a nice one.

My mojo was feeling a bit flat when i created this card, so i was pleased with the end result.  Colored my love birds with copics, and used some diamond glittah that a darling friend sent me from the USA.  I used a MS deep edge trellis for the edge of my mat, layered some lace with satin ribbon.  Added my sentiment onto a teeny tiny tag that i tied to the trellis.

Hope you will pop past the challenge blog and see the rest of the dt's fab creations with this great sketch.

Kenny K's dt

How the stalkers doing?  Hope everybodies having a great weekend, can be sure that mine has improved since i am back on line, for how long is the big question.  Its the BIG MOMENT!! the start of the challenges for Kenny K's krafty girlz challenges and not a moment too soon.

The challenge this week is for "Pastels" and the dt have done a fabulous job on all their cards.

For my card this week i used "download diva" availalbe from Kenny store, colored with copics.  I used one of my paper doilies for the back of my image, distressed the edges of my dp from ek success, Stacey Claire Boyd collection, and then added a bit of the glittah treatment to them, i added some stitching around the edge too and  had to give my cherry blossoms and the shoes the good ol glittah too since they were just calling out for it.

Go see what the rest of the girls have outdone themselves with, you gonna love this group of talent.

Totally Tilda

Yep me again, this time i'm gonna try the new challenge blog Totally Tilda, we all love Tilda, so here goes for their first challenge they want "chocolate"

Well normally that translates to the stuff that helps the thighs spread and get wider, but in this case its just this sweet little image of "Bunny Tilda" and chocolatey colors.
I made my flowers again for this one and gave them a good ol going over of the diamond stickles, as did her bow get the same treatment, image colored with copics, and the dp from my stash.  Had to use the sewing machine, its working like a bomb just hope it doesnt blow up on me again, he he.
