Our newest weekly challenge for Mo's challenge blog is up and running and i am running late again!
Our challenge this week is "in the dog house" for which i dceided to use Guilty Rocco and guilty Bert both available here in Mo's store.  I wanna take this opportunity to tell all my followers that i have taken to keeping my cards pretty clean of late so as not to distract from Mo's amazing images, skies the limit with this darlings.
the paper is all old from MME, sorry......
Now for todays excuse as to why i am late:  I have been working on a lot of diy for our new home and slowly have been adding it to a diy blog that i started, it is no great shakes, but will give you some idea of what i am up to when i am late with my posts.Thrifty to nifty and if you come back tomorrow you will see what i have been working on all week, so pls do check out my thrifty to nifty blog, even if only for a laugh.

Mo's dp 2 challenge blog dt

The newest challenge for Mo's challenge blogis up and running, dont forget we are also still running applications for the geust dt post.
for our latest challenge we are wanting "hugs and kisses"  after reading that i couldnt resist using "Kissy" available here from Mo's store.  Its seems i cant resist using red and white when i think of love or hugs or kisses, lol.
That little dash of dp that you see is an old Papermania pack, i added loads of rhinestones and gave my image earings too, aswell as stickles all over the white bits of my image.
I kept the card pretty clean as i didnt want to lose the punch of this cute image.  Do join our challenge this week and i look forward to seeing what you all make of the challenge

Tomic challenge dt

We are celebrating Christmas in July this month on TOMIC with a color scheme "Red, green and white" and additional "stars" the image needs to have a star.

Well i gotta say that i am not in the Christmas mode yet, in actual fact i am really down in the doldrums and not feeling too cheery.  My uncle Frank passed away, my mother's only brother and we had his funeral this morning :(
my card recipe:
Inks: copics and memento
stamps:  Tilda catching star and sentiment from co0utnry crafts

punches and dies: Marianne dies for the pointsettas, so wrapped starlight bag tag Magnolia, star border Magnolia, starlight lace, bon voyage foliage.

other: impasto white for all the edges, a doily from the stash, diamond dust on the poinsettias, distress inks, corsage pin that got a good going over with green glittah to change the color to green, ribbon charm from the stash, loads of teeny tiny rhinestones.
have a great week and do join our challenge this month on Tomic, perhaps get ahead with all those Christmas cards.

a repurposed cot rail

This dear friends, was a cot rail that i found at goodwill/ hospice.
It was the side rail of an infants cot, i mounted two pieces of wood onto the wall and then mounted tthe cot rail to the wood.  The reason i did it this way is so that the punches would be able to fit onto the rails.  Just thought this idea might help someone else with the punch storage dilemna!

Mo's dp 2 challenge dt

We have a new challenge up and running on Mo's challenge blog, this week its dancing and singing.
I was asked to make the card vintage style, by someone who want to buy it, now i gotta say i am not really any good at the vintage thing, but if i dont stretch myself and try it will never get any better, lol
i add the little banner bits floating around my image with my copics, all these colors were quite muted in the paper so i thought it would be a nice touch.
Lots of lace, pearls, borders and of course flowers, the sentiment is an oldish one, dont remember where i got it though.
Now before you go, we are having a dt call on Mo's so if you ever dreamed about being part of this amazing team, nows the time to try out....

Mo's dp 2 challenge dt

Great!!! a nice easy challenge this week on Mo's challenge blog "Anything goes"
I have used one of the Three baby fairies from Mo's store and i just love them all!
Another thing that i am quite partial to lately is orange and turquoise in case you hadnt noticed. lol.  I have also been stalking a few blogs and checking out how everyone else does grass and practising my cloudy skies, hopefully one day i will get it right.  For now though its lots of practising.
I havent used my rhinestones for quite some time to made my flourish up the side of my card with rhinestones instead of the pearls.
I do hope you like it and will be inspired to join our challenge this week.

the Paper Shelter dt

We have our newest challenge for the Paper Shelter up and running, and just like me i am also running, lol.
this week the challenge is "Flower Power"  we all love to add those fabulous flowers to our cards so i do hope you will join us this week.
for my card this week i am using Zoe spring available here from the Paper shelter store, i have just thoroughly loved using all the Paper shelter images, they are a pleasure to color and to make cards with, and you will find an image for every occasion at the Paper shelter web shop.
the sentiment is an old one that i have had for a while so sorry i dont know which stamp company its from, and the flowers and embellies are all from my stash.  the paper is also one of those old ones that i dont have a name for :(.
now my children are on mid year school break so i am having a hard time keeping up with all my commitments, so i apologise in advance for not visiting anyone in a while, but priorities need to take presidence. Today is also my youngest daughter Eden's 6th birthday, and we have just gotten home from a day trip to the ice rink. On top of running around like a headless chicken i have not been very well i have another sinus infection and to top it all off i knocked myself unconcious over the weekend when i banged my head on a hinge that juts out the wall on my patio, thank G"d i am ok, but i gotta tell you i was lights out when it happened.  Hopefully next week will be better.
have a great week
