Mini Magnolia ornaments

I have been busy trying to finish these ornaments for over a week now since before i went down to the coast with my children, and just realised i had better get them done as they are winging their way to USA, a little gift for someone who does a whole lot for other people and i was thinking it would be real nice to do something nice for her, not saying who its for, so dont ask.  Anywho, the challenge at Stamptacular Sunday calls for something 'Snowy:, now how much closer can you get then a snowflake?
These ornaments were made the same way i made the larger one in an earlier post, cutting a ring of foam core board and then stringing the beads onto bead pins and then sticking them into the foam core at regular intervals all the way around.
I used Mini snowy hugs and Edwin letters to Santa, made a shaker and filled the shaker inside with glitter for the snow effect.  My Magnolia images got a good going over with the puff pen along their fur lined jackets as did snowy.
Well thats it for now.  While i write this post these are on a flight across the ocean and i just realized that snowy didnt get cheeks, does he really need rosy cheeks? do you think anyone else will notice?

EB world challenge

time for another challenge on Elizabeth Bells World challenge blog and this month its "anything winter" a gift bag plus card, use your imagination and the digi bells have done fabulously with their inspiration, so hop over and have a peek if you're a little stumped.
For my project i have used a Sizzix bag template that was cut for me by a dear friend in the Uk a while ago, i knew this would come in handy.  I had to adjust it somewhat as the original was a tad small.  I made a tag card to hang off the bag using "merry sledding" colored with my trusty copics.
Girls there is also a FABULOUS prize up for grabs as a little Christmas bonus:
This month the winner will get to pick 2 (two) digi's from the Elisabeth's Digi Gallery.
And since it is Christmas the rest of the prize is going to be a secret. But I will tell you that it is a nice size box of goodies and will be worth around $100.00.
Just a small hint....
It will have ribbons, stamps, embellies and all kinds of fun card making supplies!!
The sentiment i used is a new stamp kit that i bought from Just rite, they are really fab!  The flower is also a newly acquired Marianne creatible die that i got over the holidays, love the way you can thread the ribbon through the flower, just adding that little bit extra touch of style.
Now get your thinking caps on as you dont wanna miss this opportunity and you have until the 22nd of January

CAS quick gift idea and card

Its my turn to do a feature on The digi Bells blog and since you're all running out of time for your festivities tomorrow and i'm sure that there was someone on your guest list that you fogot that you needed a little something for, i am showing you a very clean and simple card and gift bag for that forgotten guest.
The bag was made from a full sheet of Basil, 12" x 12" folded in three all the way around, then along the two outside measurements i gave the cardstock valley and mountain folds, added and extra piece of cardstock that i used an old fiskars punch on to give the flap of the bag a little detail and a few pearls.

The card i used an old stamp that i got from funky kits ages ago when i first fell in love with Elizabeth Bell images, she is the "Artist" colored with my copics, and the corners are from Marianne creatables, these are the new corners.  I cut them from the die, embossed them and then inked them to show the beautiful emboss detail.
Now i would like to wish all my followers and visitors a very merry Christmas, good times spent with special friends and family, MWAH!!!

Day 4 Victorian Sweethearts

Well stampers its day four of the new release Victorian Sweethearts available from Bizzy Becs store, i know i havent managed to get the first three together to showcase, been rather hectic, but i loved using this particular darling "Violet"

i distressed all the edges and added stickles to all those edges, used a MS punch for one of the layers, a few spined leaves which are available at Bizy Becs too, in actual fact all the product on this card is availabel from Bec's store.  I colored my image with copics, and before anyone comments on the feint lines of the image i seemed to have a few problems when i was printing, so please be kind as i loved coloring her

Kenny K's weekly challenge dt

time for another challenge on KKKG and we are also drawing to the end of my term for the Krafty Girlz dt, so this will be my last posting for them and i would like to think i am going out in style, so took the extra effort this week for our "Snow" challenge.
I sat for nearly two hours threading beads onto bead pins and then cut a circle frame from core board to make a shaker for Mr Claus.  I added glue around the outside of the core board and stuck the threaded bead pins in while the glue was wet so when my friend hangs this onto her tree it wont fall apart.
I added a crystal bead to the bottom of the ribbon so give the whole ensemble a bit of weight so that it will hang properly and then another crystal for good measure to the top.
Hope to see all the lovely creations this week and hope you will join us, Team A as we draw to an end of our term on the team.

P.S: i am away today so this post is scheduled, i am teaching copics to a few ladies in Rustenberg approx three hours drive from my home.
P.P.S:  had my studio broken into and ransacked late last night around 2am so i am not sure when you will see me blogging and creating again as i am totally bummed out and things are strewn all over my studio right now.  Hopefully it wont take too long before i get my head around this violation of my space.

NEW RELEASE!! Blog hop

WOW!! its that time again when we share the newest best things from Elizabeth Bell the girls have done a fabulous job showcasing  all EB' work i feel absolutely honored to be associated with these talented ladies.  Now before i continue if you arrived here from Patti's blog you are right on track.
I am featuring "Frosty the snowman", EB sure know how to draw and this one is a stunner!
I colored my image with copics as per usual, decided that since i hadnt made an easel card for so long that thats what i thought would give this little image the wow factor.  i used paper from MME with glitzed embossing all over it, a MS punch around my image, since the winter chill speaks to me about shiny icy bits i also added loads of blingy flourishes.
For my snowflakes i punched them out of vellum and then added the flowers to the centres and added a few more rhinestones to the centres.  My flourish near my sentiment went a bit awry, but overall i am pleased with this image  and ensemble.

Now you need to hop on to Lynda's blog
Enjoy the hop with The digi Bells and dont forget to leave a little feedback
have a great weekend

Mo's dp2 challenge dt

While i was shmoozing my children today quite happily someone stole a day and i only just realized that its the new challenge on Mo's dp 2 challenge blog.  I have had this card ready for the last two days, but time seems to have run away with me and i didnt post it to the dt blog, duh!!!
Any who for my card this week i used Kai in snow available at Mo's Store
I colored Kai with my copics and just am in LOVE with this cutie, i think i may be broody!!! too late she cried, past the sell by date, he he.
i added tons of stickles to the snow and snowflakes, but i dont think you can see them in the pictures :(
I cut a large snowflake out of acetate with my cuttlebug snowflake die and then added loads of glittaah!, layered it with a flattened bead cap and a brad.  Added a nice lush ribbon across my card and then another snowflake charm to that to finish it off.  The sentiment on the front is a LOTV sneiment from the new Christmas range, they are the best set of sentiments out there at the moment in my opinion.
Since the dp is covered in beautiful snowflakes i kept it pretty simple on the inside and only added another of the layered snowflakes cut from pure white cardstock.
have a great weekend

The Pixie cottage dt

Time for another challenge on the Pixie cottage challenge blog and this week we are looking for sparkle and shine, we also have a great sketch for you to follow if you prefer following a sketch.
For my card i used Hannah's letter, by Sandra Hammer available from Michelle's store and there are loads of other items that you can get while you're there.
I used my NS die to cut my image, added some flower soft to Hannah's hat and then added loads of MS snow to the snowy arreas of my image, not sure you can see it on the pictures.  My dp's are gcd designs and the flowers from my stash, i twisted the stems around the shaft of my paper piercer and added a few choice rhinestones to the corners of my  layers.
Hope this will inspire you to come and play at the Pixie cottage this week

Showcasing EB Ginnie with butterflies

Today i am showcasing Ginnie with butterlies, available from EB digi gallery, this darling image was such a hit with my little girl when she asw it that i have decided to use it for her birthday card, she will be clelbrating her 8th Birthday early next month, so for once i will be well prepared.
I have colored my image with copics, nothing new there.  The papers are new from Amercan crafts and layered with Bazil basics.  I tied a bow in the corner of my card and then twisted the ribbon to look as though it was dangling down the side of the card.  Girls will be girls and i had to add flowers, a few garlands and wire sprigs with little leaves attached to them.
The title of this little darling inspired me to add butterflies all over the card, so i used a MS punch for all the butterflies giving them a good going over of diamond dust, and added a bugle bead to the body part, i layered them onto a darker butterfly punched from another random butterly punch so they would have shadows and then lifted their wings so look as if they are gonna take off.

Enjoy!
