News!

I was waiting to let my followers know that i have unfortunately due to lifes pressures, and the fact that i just dont cope under pressure, know that i have had to step down from whiff of joy.  I thought i would wait till they announced it on the dt challenge blog, but since i have been removed from their blog i thought i would let you all know.
I am very sad that this is one of the dt's that i felt i should cut back on, however i have had a lot of stress lately and was not gonna air this on my blog, but actually found myself very, very depressed and have had a few days where i didnt even have the emotional strength to get out of bed or see to my family.  Having said that, i have found a therapist and am on the mend, emotionally and physically.

    I'm SO SORRY to hear that you have had a lot of stress lately and the last few days have been very hard for you! I understand your sadness, it's great to be a part of any DT, that's for sure BUT the pleasure of crafting should always be first!!!
    I don't mind if you are a DT or not! You make such beautiful cards and your's such a great source of inspiration for all of us that I will keep coming back to see your creations no matter what!
    I'm sending you some warm hugs and wishes and I hope you fell better soon!

  4. Paola I am so sorry to hear that. I too suffer depression and have days where I feel I just can't cope but I do get through. Hope your councilling works for you and you are on the mend emotionally very soon. *big hugs*

    sorry to have had to step down from the Whiff of Joy DT but your health and emotional state is far more important. I am glad that you are on the mend though. Perhaps after a rest you will be recharged to start again.
    It makes the time you spent commenting on my blog recently even more precious to me

  11. Sorry to hear my friend. I really thought that they would relise just how valuable you are to their DT. Their loss and your gain. At least now all(most of it at least) the stress will be gone and you can concentrate on just being you. Your work is awesome and know that all of us value your talent and the fact that you so selflessly share your vast knowledge.

  12. When one door closes another opens. Depression is a seriously hard thing to overcome, I know I've been there. Take it one day at a time and know how special you are and how many peoples lives you've touched. You will make it through this. Cutting back on your responsibilities will help tremendously. Good for you. Set some new goals and give yourself a reason to get out of bed each morning. Your truly a special person to me and I'm here if I can help in any way!

  20. Dear Paola - I am so asorry to hear about your depression. I think it is also very brave of you to write about it on your blog. I found such a lot of support in being able to do this.

  24. Take care of YOURSELF Paola, take time to be selfish and above all give yourself time. Many of us suffer with depression, though few understand.
