Mo's dp2 challenge dt


time for our challenge on Mo's digital pencil and as oer usual i am so late today as i have been burning the cnadle on both ends again and i started the post this morning and got sidetracked when my son was sent home from school and fogot to post it, duh!!
For my card i am using Aashi available from Mo's store.  Since she is an Indian i had a little challenge coloring her skin as i have never done anything other than European.  I have used oriental oval from Nellies to cut out my image and layered it onto gold and then red basil, used my ek success punch for the border, all the flowers and rhinestones are from my endless stash.

I had to google a search for an Indian greeting for the sentiment, "Namaste" translated as a general greeting.
The long bindi type embellishment i came up with thinking it was fitting for this darling image.. My inside of my card is very simple with the same oriental Nellie and just the dp as a background.

skin:  E17, 15, 11 and 21
Reds: R29, 27, 24 and E17
Blacks:  C9,7,5,3.1
Gold:  YR24, Y13, Y00
Shadows:  W3, W0

    This is stunning Paola! The rich red and the gold are so perfect for your theme! Love the Bindi embellie - it's perfect! Your coloring is fabulous and the touch of gold in her Sari is just stunning! Beautiful job...

    WOW - You REALLY captured the "Around the World" theme in this card. The details depicting this race are fabulous. I just love the frame and the gems down the side. You should enter this one into some magazines!!

    This is delightful - that embellishment is something else & there is so much to learn from your colouring of the image - your Copics listing is so helpful. I love the way you have used the red & white flowers as accents.

    Wow! Awesome card. It Looks very authentic/oriental as if from india. The oriental ovals make me think of the TajMahal. (one of the eight wonders of the beauty)I love the colors you have used. A truly inspirational card. Thanks for sharing.
