We have a fabulous new challenge for you over on Mo's challenge blog, "Something new"
It could be a new idea, a new craft stash, whatever is new to you.
Now this isnt exactly new, but it is something new that i am doing: When i was a kid i loved getting birthday cards shaped like numbers and i remember by the time i was around ten and getting over the novelty of numbers, it was sad that there was no longer the excitement of getting a card with my birthday number on it.
So for my card i decided to make a number card, it is a simple one, but i love how it turned out.
the image of course is from Mo's store HERE, colored with my trusty copics, given the little lace and ruffle detail a good going over with stickles, added teeny tiny pearls to the tops of the bunting that spell Happy Birthday.
The paper is really old and its from Sandy Lion, Barbie range.
Do join our challenge i look forward to seeing whats new to you

ReplyDeleteThis is so cute, Paola! Love the number design and the wonderfully colored sweet image!
ReplyDeletePaola: did you cut out the image or is it printed on your design paper or did you create the background? It looks very much like your design paper. Oh, I see, it's a die cut. Fabulous job.
ReplyDeleteSo you don't like number cards anymore?? :o Funny how that happens! lol I love how this came out, shes the perfect image for a one year card!

She is so sweet. I love your coloring on this image. Your number card is great for a birthday and this image is perfect for this card.
ReplyDeleteHi Paola - I really love your number card! I had to giggle and smile about your comment on getting number cards for each birthday. I too loved that (and still have all mine in scrapbook). I have always tried to give my kids cards with their birthday numbers on them too (made one for my niece's 18th in August and my son's 18th in November). Thanks so much for sharing with us.
ReplyDeleteOh Paola...this turned out beautifully!! I was just thinking how much fun you'll have making MY birthday card this year! hehehe! You'll have to figure out how to make a 60! ROTFLMAO! Seriously...I love the papers you used...they're perfect together! And, of course, I love this little Mo image...your coloring is brilliant! Chat soon! Hugs. Pat Frank
ReplyDeleteLove this card and number cards were also a great favourite of mine when I was younger .
ReplyDeleteHey Paola, I love this little card and putting the number on is such a cute idea that most kids do love it.. most old kids don't love it.. but love your colors and love your coloring of little Mo.. A great job.
