Mo's dp 2 challenge dt

We have a fabulous new challenge for you over on Mo's challenge blog, "Something new"
It could be a new idea, a new craft stash, whatever is new to you.

Now this isnt exactly new, but it is something new that i am doing:  When i was a kid i loved getting birthday cards shaped like numbers and i remember by the time i was around ten and getting over the novelty of numbers, it was sad that there was no longer the excitement of getting a card with my birthday number on it.

So for my card i decided to make a number card, it is a  simple one, but i love how it turned out.
the image of course is from Mo's store HERE, colored with my trusty copics, given the little lace and ruffle detail a good going over with stickles, added teeny tiny pearls to the tops of the bunting that spell Happy Birthday.
The paper is really old and its from Sandy Lion, Barbie range.
Do join our challenge i look forward to seeing whats new to you

  2. Paola: did you cut out the image or is it printed on your design paper or did you create the background? It looks very much like your design paper. Oh, I see, it's a die cut. Fabulous job.

  9. Hi Paola - I really love your number card! I had to giggle and smile about your comment on getting number cards for each birthday. I too loved that (and still have all mine in scrapbook). I have always tried to give my kids cards with their birthday numbers on them too (made one for my niece's 18th in August and my son's 18th in November). Thanks so much for sharing with us.
