I have spent the last four or five hours, deleting my first year of my blog, cleaned out my downloads file, deleted all my picutres off my laptop, minimalised my home page, dont have a clue how much else i can delete without losing my laptop altogether. My blogger new post page keeps telling me that i need to purchase more space to load any pictures etc. HAS ANYBODY ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM???? PLEASE ADVICE ASAP, before i shoot myself!
I couldnt craft or blog while i had visitors and working towards the wedding, now all i need to do i craft and blog and this has happened.
Any help would be greatly appreciated before i delete this whole blog and start again.

Hi Paola, I had to purchase more space last month as mine was full too - it was only about $4 I think, if you click on the link when it tells you it's full it takes you to the page to buy it. It said it could take 24hours but I had my extra space instantly! hope that helps, hugs, Jane x
ReplyDeleteOh, and deleting your stuff won't help as it is the blogger's background photo folder that is full from what I could make out and I couldn't find a way to delete them from the folder - you just have to buy extra space but you get a lot for the money! x
ReplyDeleteJust a couple of suggestions from me as I have not had this problem. Do you always make sure that you re-size your photos to below 100kb before you upload them? This helps to keep within your annual MB allowance. Also check how big your blog background file is, it could be taking up a lot of space. Hope you get it sorted out, very frustrating!
ReplyDeleteOh dear this is all news to me, sorry I can't help you at all, hope you soon get it sorted out.xx
ReplyDeleteGosh I've not heard of this, very frustrating, hope you get sorted, hugs Liz xx
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of this either! Hope you can figure it out so you can beack to crafting and blogging ♥
ReplyDeleteI have heard of this and I am sorry that I don't have any suggestions other than buying the space. Another of the blogs I follow had to do the same. I am probably headed that way myself UGH *hugs*
ReplyDeleteHi Paula, sorry to hear about this but thanks fir sharing as it has made me aware of WHAT CAN HAPPEN! I googled a little and found out that all our blog pics are stored on Picasa Web, and that you can go straight in there after logging into blogger! You will see ab album named after your blog and all your pics will be there. Look at this site for further advice. Hope this helps - let us know.

Jane's comment really was informative, so thanks Jane for that. Just makes one aware of what we're heading for... Let us know once you've sorted Paola. Good luck hun, hugs Sharon
ReplyDeletePaola, just log into https://picasaweb.google.com using your Blogger log in. You can purchase extra space there. Extra space is very inexpensive. It does help to keep your picture size down a bit. Your wedding pics are HUGE. I save my pics at 720 pixels or around 150kb. I have had my blog for almost 2 years and also have all the images from 2 design team blogs and only use 17% of my allotted space at Picasa.
ReplyDeleteHi Paola dear, DON'T DELETE your blog dear!!!!!! To many beautiful to look back through!!!! I am sorry that you are having problems and I so hopr that you get it fixed soon..
ReplyDeletebig big hugs, Janiel
I've just been told the SAME exact thing and have had my blog over 7 years!! This is really frustrating!! I think they're just wanting money...so I'm going to resize the pixels of my photos and see if that helps!! It's a bit ridiculous that this has just came about all of the sudden to several bloggers now!! Let me know if you find anything out!!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to comment with extremely slow broadband access but here goes. Have just had the very same happen but my posts are photo heavy as I do close-ups & insides. I've been blogging just a year. As Jane says I just went ahead & purchased the extra space (very inexpensive for a lot of space) & I too had it almost instantly. I'm switching from Blogger so will not have the problem in future but needed to keep my Blogger Blog going until I can make the transition.
